Construct and maintain Stage Managers Production Manual. Attend rehearsals, taking blocking or ensuring that a student assigned to the task completes it, taking props and designer notes, making schedule adjustments as needed. Calling times and breaks as needed. Communicating rehearsal notes to the production team through rehearsal reports. Run rehearsals in absence of Director, according to the guidelines and artistic vision set forth by the Director. Attend all tech rehearsals – setting the stage for rehearsal, ensuring the backstage area is conducive to rehearsal safety, ensuring all working props are available and placed properly. Call all tech rehearsals: starts, breaks, holds, ends. Manage backstage and dressing rooms for all tech rehearsal and performances: Call times and places, Call front-of-house opening, Call start of show. Call all performances: Curtain Up, Light cues, sound cues, visual cues, set changes, Curtain down. Document performances with performance reports, to be kept in Production Manual. Direct all backstage needs during tech rehearsal and performances via headset, designated personnel, and staff support. Direct strike activities. Strike booth and backstage of all show materials and gear post-run.
