Job Title: Sterile Processing Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Duration: Temp to Perm Opportunity Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 hours (15:00 - 23:30) Experience: 2 years required License: South Carolina License preferred Certifications: CBSPD and/or IAHCSMM/HSPA Must-Have: Level 1 Trauma experience required Sterilization, decontamination, and assembly/wrap experience required First-timers not accepted Description: This role involves working as a Sterile Processing Tech. The position requires a rotating weekend schedule. The clinician may be required to float within the scope to meet facility needs. Experience with neuro, GU, robotics, ENT, ortho, transplant, and GYN cases is preferred. National certifications CBSPD and/or HSPA are required. BLS certification is not required. The facility allows for call-offs of one shift per two weeks. No more than two callouts are permitted unless a doctor's note is provided. Three tardies are the maximum allowance. If holidays are not requested, the traveler is expected to work if the facility is open. During hurricane season, employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Travelers should be aware that the season runs from June through November. Completion of all compliance requirements on time for the proposed start date is essential.
