Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: A minimum of 5 years previous sterile processing experience is required. License: Certification required at hire. Certifications: CRCST or CSPDT. Must-Have: Must be certified in sterile processing and have a rating of 3 or above in Robotics. Must have experience in a Level II Trauma facility or similar. Description: The Sterile Processing Technicians clean, prepare, sterilize, and store instruments. This includes preparing case carts for the operating room. The position primarily works in decontamination and rarely assembles trays. The unit serves multiple surgical operating rooms, including specialties such as robotics. There is collaboration with various vendors for tray instruments. The role requires knowledge of aseptic technique and sterilization procedures. Candidates should possess experience with a variety of medical instruments and cleaning equipment. Attention to detail and proper labeling are essential. Floating may be required within the facility. Refusal to float may result in termination of the contract. All requirements must be met to be considered for the position.
