Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Sterile Processing Tech Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Mid Hours per Shift: 8 Experience: 4 Years License: Not required Certifications: National Certification (CBSPD or IAHCSMM) Must-Have: Experience in high volume surgical environments, including orthopedic, urology, cardiac, and robotic surgeries. Description: The Sterile Processing Technician position requires expertise in sterile processing. Candidates should have experience working with various types of surgical instruments. This role involves the decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of surgical trays. Applicants should be comfortable in fast-paced environments with a high volume of trays. The technician will be responsible for ensuring all instruments are properly labeled and sterilized. Daily activities may include working with automated endoscope reprocessors and other sterilization equipment. Experience with EPIC charting systems is required. This position may require weekend coverage as needed. Previous experience in a high-volume surgical department is essential.
